Job Description
For more than 25 years, people in Australia have placed their trust in Beyond Blue as a reliable source of mental health information, support and hope.
We are one of Australia’s most well-known, trusted, and visited mental health organisations. We never take this for granted. With that comes a deep responsibility to listen, to understand people’s needs and aspirations, and to ensure they are at the heart of everything we do.
About the role
The
Executive Assistant to the CEO
is a pivotal, high-impact position at the heart of the organisation. More than an administrator, you will operate as a strategic anchor for the CEO’s office - bringing clarity, pace and connection to the work that matters most.
In this role, you’ll be the trusted coordination point across the organisation, ensuring the CEO remains deeply aligned to people, opportunities and challenges. You will orchestrate a dynamic and complex schedule, help prepare high-quality briefs, streamline governance processes, and ensure the CEO is set up to lead with confidence and impact.
You’ll help translate discussions into clear actions, maintain momentum on key initiatives, and support alignment across the Executive Leadership Team.
At its core, this role is about creating clarity, structure and flow - streamlining processes, anticipating needs, and supporting the CEO to operate effectively and helping to empower Beyond Blue’s people to deliver for the community.
About you
You are a seasoned Executive Assistant with substantial experience supporting CEOs, Boards or senior executives in complex, fast-paced environments. You bring exceptional judgement, discretion and operate confidently with a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders, from Chairs, Ministers and other CEOs to members of the community.
You have executive presence, but you also have your feet on the ground and want to meaningfully contribute to Beyond Blue’s work and impact.
You will bring
Proven C-suite EA experience, including working on sensitive and complex matters and managing competing priorities.
Exceptional organisational discipline, managing complex schedules, priorities, and briefings with accuracy.
Strong executive judgement, able to filter information, anticipate needs, and determine what requires CEO attention.
Exceptional, clear and compassionate communication skills, with a broad stakeholder and community base, and experience preparing material for senior decision makers.
A proactive, solution-focused mindset, bringing structure and reliability to a fast-paced environment.
High discretion and professionalism, consistently exercising integrity and sound judgement.
Alignment with organisational values, with a commitment to be part of a team that works hard to support people, families and communities affected by depression, anxiety, and suicide.
