Job Description
The Australian Society of Viticulture and Oenology (ASVO) sits at the heart of the Australian wine industry and is at the forefront of wine science, viticulture and winemaking innovation. This role is based in the National Wine Centre in Adelaide, with hybrid working conditions available.
This is a unique opportunity to work alongside industry leaders, helping shape the future of the Australian wine industry and advancing the ASVO as a centre of excellence.
Key Responsibilities

Maintain connections with regional and state associations to keep the ASVO community cohesive
Financial and administrative management of the organisation, ensuring good governance practices
Drive membership engagement and deliver an excellent membership experience
Expand professional development offerings and partnerships, including technical training and educational programs, and administration of “Rootlings” for early‑career professionals
Plan and executive events such as the annual ASVO awards, AWITC and other industry events
Oversee editorial operations and delivery of The Australian Journal of Grape and Wine Research
Foster and maintain strong connections with ASVO members, committees and stakeholders via newsletters, social media and the ASVO website
