About the Role This is a locum or permanent GP role in an Urgent Care Clinic, suited to doctors who want reliable work and clear boundaries around their day. The appeal here is simple. You’re busy when you’re on. Supported while you’re there. And finished when your shift ends.

The role offers:

Strong hourly rates, with higher earnings available on selected sessions

Bulk-billed urgent care at 80% with consistent patient flow - with an hourly rate of up to $250 per hour

Full nursing support at all times so you’re not running the floor alone

Shift-based work with no patient follow-up outside your hours

Flexibility across a mixed roster, including after-hours if you are interested

The clinic is new, well resourced, and designed specifically for urgent care presentations. You’re treating acute, time-sensitive cases in an environment built for throughput and safety, not squeezing them into a GP book. This setup also works well for doctors on moratorium. After-hours sessions can support access to a permanent exemption, without needing to commit to full-time nights or weekends.

What You’ll Be Doing

Managing walk-in urgent care presentations

Treating acute issues and minor injuries

Working alongside experienced RNs who control flow and support decision-making

Practising within a clear, shift-based structure that stays contained

What You Need

AHPRA registration as a General Practitioner

Comfort with urgent care and acute presentations

Confidence making independent clinical decisions

Openness to a mixed roster that may include some evenings or weekends
