Melbourne Royal ® is a registered trademark of the

Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria Limited,

a member based, not-for-profit organisation that is highly respected for:

curating and presenting the Melbourne Royal Show, Victoria's largest and most iconic annual community event,

being the venue manager for Melbourne Showgrounds, Melbourne’s largest and most versatile indoor/outdoor event venue,

developing and delivering events and programs to celebrate excellence and inspire innovation in agriculture, food and beverages.

Job Description The primary purpose of this role is to cement the Melbourne Royal Show as an iconic, unmissable event for Victorians — driving new audiences through the gates while deepening loyalty with those who return year after year.

This is a highly hands-on leadership role. The Senior Manager Marketing & Communications will not only set the strategy but actively roll up their sleeves to shape campaigns, guide creative direction, interrogate data, and bring ideas to life. From leading campaign development to refining messaging, overseeing digital execution, collaborating with media partners, and driving ticket sales performance, this role is deeply embedded in the day-to-day delivery of impactful marketing.

Leading a high-performing team, the role will build the Show’s cultural relevance and strengthen audience connection through insight-led storytelling and bold, strategic execution. Key responsibilities span leadership and cross-functional collaboration, brand and reputation management, audience and market strategy, end-to-end campaign development and delivery, digital marketing and content creation, ticketing and attendance growth, data and insights analysis, public relations and communications, and creative design oversight.

This is an opportunity for a commercially minded, creative marketing leader who thrives on being in the detail, influencing outcomes, and delivering results that are visible, measurable, and celebrated across Victoria
