Purpose
We are seeking a highly experienced Solution Architect to lead the technical design and integration of complex systems for a major Master Systems Integration (MSI) project at Perth Airport. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless coordination between technology systems, built‑environment infrastructure, and stakeholder requirements across the airport development. The successful candidate will be based in Perth and work closely with the Lead Design Consultant, Builders, and various stakeholders to deliver a robust, scalable, and future‑ready integrated solution.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the architectural design and integration of systems across multiple domains (ICT, building systems, security, communications, etc.).
Collaborate with design consultants, construction teams, and airport stakeholders to align technology solutions with the built environment.
Develop and maintain high‑level and detailed architecture documentation, including system interface designs, data flows, and integration strategies.
Ensure compliance with aviation standards, cybersecurity requirements, and regulatory frameworks.
Oversee technical governance and ensure alignment with the Master Systems Integration strategy.
Support procurement and vendor selection processes by defining technical requirements and evaluating solutions.
Provide technical leadership during construction, commissioning, and handover phases.
Identify and mitigate risks related to system interoperability, scalability, and performance.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Solution Architect in large‑scale infrastructure or airport projects.
Strong understanding of built environment systems (e.g., BMS, access control, CCTV, fire systems) and their integration with IT platforms.
Experience working with design consultants, builders, and construction teams in complex environments.
Familiarity with aviation systems and airport operations is highly preferred.
Expertise in enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF), systems engineering, and integration methodologies.
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
Knowledge & Skills
Experience with smart airport technologies and digital twin platforms.
Knowledge of Australian building codes and aviation regulatory standards.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced, multi‑disciplinary environment.
