Permanent full-time role based at our Head Office in Collingwood

As the

Head of Portfolio & Capability , you will provide strategic leadership across Customer & Digital's portfolio governance, transformation delivery, and operational effectiveness. Acting as the operational lead to the Executive Manager, you will drive enterprise prioritisation, delivery excellence, and capability uplift to accelerate outcomes and efficiency across Customer & Digital teams. This role plays a critical part in shaping the future of Jetstar's digital delivery capability through strategic partnership with Technology leadership to evaluate and evolve the delivery ecosystem. The role has significant enterprise-wide influence, supporting Annual Planning and 5-Year Plan processes and representing Customer & Digital at the Business Leadership Team and enterprise governance forums. This is a senior leadership role requiring strong commercial acumen, delivery expertise, and the ability to influence across a complex stakeholder landscape spanning Customer, Digital, Technology, Operations, and Commercial functions.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

Provide strategic leadership across portfolio governance, prioritisation and performance to accelerate outcomes across Customer & Digital

Lead delivery of Customer & Digital transformation programs, ensuring strong governance, risk management and benefits realisation

Evolve Jetstar’s digital delivery operating model to improve speed, quality, cost efficiency and enterprise‑wide delivery outcomes

Own and mature delivery practices including Agile/Scrum, Business Analysis and Change & Release Management, building high‑performing teams and capability

Manage significant operating budgets and strategic vendor partnerships, driving cost optimisation and commercial value

Shape the digital delivery ecosystem and sourcing strategy in partnership with Technology leadership

Support Annual Planning and 5-Year Plan processes and represent Customer & Digital in enterprise governance and leadership forums

To be considered for this role, you will have:

10+ years senior leadership experience in portfolio, delivery, or transformation roles

Experience in digital/technology/Customer portfolios and delivery environments at scale

Proven track record managing large budgets and vendor relationships

Experience leading delivery practice functions (Scrum, BA, PMO) or demonstrated experienced leading digital capability practices

Experience leading operating model and delivery transformation (strong preference)

Proven success delivering efficiency improvements from Digital/Technology teams (strong preference)

Experience in aviation, travel, or retail industries preferred

Ability to set direction and drive outcomes across complex, matrixed organisations

Strong commercial acumen and business partnering skills

Change leadership and transformation experience

Deep understanding of Agile delivery methods in enterprise environments

Strong financial management skills including budgeting and cost control

Exceptional stakeholder management, communication and influence across senior leadership including C-suite.
