An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented legal professional to join the in-house legal team of a highly respected ASX-listed organisation, reporting directly to the General Counsel and Company Secretary.

About the Opportunity In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in supporting the organisation’s business operations and strategic objectives. As Senior Legal Counsel, you’ll provide pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice on a wide range of complex legal and regulatory matters and help drive business success.

This is a newly created role within a collaborative, high-performing legal and compliance team in a thriving corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide expert legal advice

on a broad range of commercial matters and transactions

Support the executive and senior leadership team

on legal risk, regulatory (AFSL, ACL and other licensing regimes), and governance issues

Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements

and contracts

Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships

with stakeholders across the business and manage regulators and external providers

Develop internal policies and deliver training

to business units

Lead and mentor

junior members of the legal team

About You To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

At least 8 years' post-qualification experience

as a commercial lawyer, ideally with both private practice and in-house backgrounds

Strong expertise in

commercial contracts, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance

A proven ability to

build trusted relationships

with stakeholders at all levels

Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills

A pragmatic,

adaptable, and collaborative

mindset
