Head of Business Development & Market Intelligence
The Head of Business Development & Market Intelligence is a national role working across Mapien Workplace Strategists and Mapien Law (collectively referred to as Mapien). Mapien is Australia’s most trusted specialist people consultancy and law firm offering bespoke workplace people solutions. We partner with our clients to solve their people problems using our significant experience, technical capability and multidisciplinary approach. We are the industry experts at representing our clients in all aspects of ‘people at work’ issues and have mastered the art of designing, resourcing and developing workplaces to enhance organisational performance. We have a core team of over 70 employees in four capital cities, and our specialist services are in industrial relations, workplace strategy, workplace psychology, psychological health and safety, corporate migration, employment and immigration law.

As we continue our significant national growth, we are looking for a self‑motivated, driven Business Development expert with the capacity to drive revenue growth through strategic business development and market intelligence. This is a critical role in our national senior leadership team and will be based in our Melbourne or Sydney office. Ideally you will have significant experience in building relationships across organisations and industries to generate quality leads and revenue in our service areas.

The role
To be successful in this role you will have:
Proven track record in driving revenue growth through targeted business development strategies and new business generation.
An excellent understanding of and capability to strategically align business development activities utilising own knowledge, experience and market Intelligence to drive revenue growth in our service areas and targeted markets.
Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to translate data into actionable strategies.
Strong networking capability and ability to develop strong relationships with current Mapien clients and identify and develop business opportunities with new clients.
Ability to build and maintain networks with industry bodies, associations, and influencers to expand market presence.
Excellent, professional written and verbal communication skills.
Relevant tertiary and/or postgraduate qualifications.
8+ years in business development / client engagement / marketing or marketing intelligence ideally in professional services.
Demonstrated ability to develop internal capability in business development and mentor others.
