About the Role This is a senior-level data consulting position designed for an experienced data leader who can bridge strategy, delivery, and client engagement. You’ll act as a trusted advisor to clients, guiding them on how to use data, AI, and cloud technologies to solve complex business problems – while also shaping internal capability and mentoring teams. The role blends leadership, consulting, business development, and technical oversight. You’ll represent the company in Perth’s data community and play a key role in delivering high-quality, value-driven data solutions.

Critical Requirements (Must-Haves)

Minimum 15+ years of experience in consulting, with a significant portion in senior or principal-level roles.

Strong pre‑sales experience, including a proven track record of winning work, shaping proposals, and influencing project outcomes.

Deep technical expertise in at least one major cloud/data platform (Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, AWS) — multiple is ideal.

This role requires a rare blend of commercial, consulting, and technical capability.

Key Responsibilities Leadership & Consulting

Serve as a senior advisor to clients, helping them design and deliver data and AI strategies that create real business impact.

Lead conversations with executive stakeholders to define project goals, architectures, and success outcomes.

Mentor and guide internal data consultants, providing direction and technical leadership.

Business Development

Support the growth of the business by identifying opportunities, shaping proposals, and contributing to client pitches.

Collaborate with senior leaders to define client solutions that align with strategic goals.

Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and community meetups to strengthen brand presence.

Delivery & Project Oversight

Oversee delivery of complex data projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and with measurable value.

Guide technical teams working across modern data stacks (Azure, AWS, Databricks, Snowflake, etc.).

Provide hands‑on support where needed, balancing strategy with practical delivery.

Capability & Product Development

Improve internal frameworks, methodologies, and delivery practices for efficiency and scalability.

Contribute to the development of new data products, accelerators, and service offerings.

Community & Brand

Act as an ambassador for the organisation within Perth’s data community.

Build and maintain strong client relationships, promoting collaboration and long‑term partnerships.

Support internal learning and development through mentoring and knowledge sharing.

About You

15+ years of experience in consulting, delivering large‑scale data projects and influencing senior stakeholders.

Demonstrated history of pre‑sales success — shaping and winning meaningful work for a consulting business.

Strong technical knowledge across modern data platforms —

Azure, AWS, Databricks, Snowflake

(one or more required).

Proven track record leading or advising on large‑scale data and cloud projects.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; comfortable presenting to executives and guiding teams.

Strategic mindset with the ability to stay hands‑on when needed.

Experience in consulting or client‑facing environments is highly regarded.
