Head of Risk Advisory Portfolio Solutions Overview

Ashurst Risk Advisory (Australia) is seeking an accomplished candidate to lead the development, commercialisation, and delivery of integrated risk advisory solutions across our client portfolio. This role will shape and execute the portfolio growth strategy, enhance market relevance, and drive firm‑wide collaboration to deliver differentiated, high‑impact outcomes for clients. It requires a combination of strategic acumen, commercial discipline, and hands‑on delivery. Success will be measured by revenue growth from portfolio solutions, improved conversion of complex pursuits, uplift in client retention and share‑of‑wallet, and demonstrable market influence through thought leadership and policy engagement.

Qualifications

Significant senior leadership experience within a consulting, risk advisory, professional services or related environment, with a proven record of designing and commercialising multi‑disciplinary solutions

Demonstrated success leading complex, cross‑functional pursuits and materially improving win rates

Deep understanding of risk advisory domains and their intersection with legal, regulatory and governance requirements

Strong commercial management skills, including pricing, deal structuring and portfolio performance management

Strategic integrator who connects capabilities across disciplines to create differentiated client value

Skilled communicator who translates complex issues into compelling narratives and propositions

Data‑informed decision maker with a bias to action and continuous improvement

Credible market ambassador able to build influence and trust with external stakeholders
