Solution Architect

I am looking to speak with Solution Architects to join a Brisbane based Utilities Provider for an initial month contract. The ICT Delivery team provides innovative, secure, and high-quality technology solutions that deliver excellence in every project. This is a hands on, delivery focused architecture role. You'll be deep in the detail, working across identity, network segmentation, security hardening, and vendor-led design.

Identity & Access Management (IAM) Strategy & Implementation An external provider is delivering an IAM roadmap and implementation.

Validate and shape the IAM strategy across a hybrid estate

Provide architectural oversight across Access Management, PAM and IGA

Ensure solutions align with Microsoft Entra, Active Directory, SAP and legacy systems

Bridge gaps between cyber, operations, vendors and architecture governance

Lead high-level design and ensure detailed designs meet internal standards

The organisation operates across a hybrid cloud and legacy data centre environment, making this a technically interesting challenge.

Data Centre Separation & Network Segmentation This program focuses on separating applications and network zones within an existing data centre environment to improve security and resilience.

Design and guide network segmentation approaches

Advise on identity isolation and access control strategies

Support firewall and network rule translation between vendors and ops teams

Assess application criticality and define RTO/RPO and resilience models

Ensure prevention of lateral movement and improved security posture

About You

Proven experience in IAM architecture within hybrid environments

Strong understanding of Microsoft Entra / Active Directory

Exposure to PAM and IGA concepts (e.g. SailPoint-type platforms)

Experience working across SAP-integrated landscapes

Solid network engineering or security architecture capability

Experience working alongside external vendors delivering detailed design

This is an individual contributor role no team management but significant stakeholder engagement across cyber, ops and architecture.
