Being a GP means you are dedicated to helping others. The Lives Lived Well Specialist Centre does just that - by helping people to explore and address the underlying issues that result in illness and distress.

We are looking for General Practitioners (Private) to join us in a consulting capacity – and you don’t need to have extensive experience in AOD or Mental Health – we have a multidisciplinary team on-site to support those needs.

Research shows that 45 percent of Australians will experience a mental health condition in their lifetime; around 1 million Australian adults have depression and more than 2 million have anxiety; and almost eight Australians take their own lives each day. Our Service Centre model combines medical care, mental health, and allied health under one roof to help our clients achieve a healthier body and mind.

More about the role Based at our Specialist Centre in Burleigh Heads, this is a consulting opportunity, working one to two days per week - you can bring your private client load with you!

The LLWSC supports clients from all LLW services on the Gold Coast, including those from our Mirikai Residential Rehabilitation program, so you will get the opportunity to work with a dynamic group of clients, supporting their health and wellbeing. How rewarding would that be?

With a passion for helping vulnerable people and an interest in the AOD or Mental Health sectors, you will be an experienced, certified GP with AHPRA membership. We are also looking for:

Experience working with diverse client groups, including children and young people

Strong communication and rapport building skills, with the ability to relate to a range of audiences

A background in performing health checks with a holistic approach to wellbeing

Understanding of both bulk and private billings

Your own Professional Indemnity Insurance
