Norton Rose Fulbright is looking for an experienced energy lawyer with offtake agreement experience to work with our leading projects and energy team.

In addition the Australian team works very closely with the energy team in the Asian region and the role will involve the opportunity to work with regional teams on APAC transactions.
As an integral member of our team, you should expect to work on various projects across the energy, infrastructure and government sectors across a range of local, regional and cross border projects. With the ability to be based in our Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane offices as part of a truly national team, the key responsibilities and requirements for this role are as follows:
Responsibilities
Advising on and draft a range of project documentation including power purchase agreements, connection agreements, services and development agreements.
Working on a number of energy projects for project sponsors, financiers and large energy users nationally.
Coordinating due diligence for greenfield and brownfield projects, financing and acquisitions.
Manage work streams on large domestic and international projects.
Liaise with clients on consents, amendments and project delivery issues as they arise.
Assist with business development and marketing initiatives.
Delegation and supervision of work and junior team members.
Requirements
4-8 years PQE gained within an energy / projects practice and or in-house.
Strong experience of offtake and power purchase agreements and knowledge of the Australian PPA market.
Possess a growth mindset and are commercial, solution focussed, creative and passionate about delivering the energy transition.
Experience assisting on a range of matters across the infrastructure, energy and government sector.
Excellent analytical, drafting and communication skills.
Strong time management & organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects and conflicting priorities simultaneously.
