Consultant/Senior Consultant | Infrastructure Advisory - Economics Melbourne, Victoria, Australia • Full‑time • Mid‑Senior level • Project Management, Design, and Consulting

With a mandate to grow its Investor Advisory team and capabilities, Arup requires a motivated individual with proven transaction and due diligence advisory experience gained on major infrastructure projects. The purpose of this role is to support the transaction advisory offering across the Australasia region, based in Melbourne. This key role will help shape the future of Arup’s Advisory business and will include project delivery, work winning, technical advice, client engagement, and development opportunities. You will provide technical and commercial advice on a variety of infrastructure sub‑sector transactions, advising both buy‑side and sell‑side clients.

The Opportunity

Provide timely and quality technical advice to clients, addressing their requirements effectively and leveraging extensive experience.

Build and maintain trust with clients through consistent, reliable support and by providing strategic insights.

Support the project manager and leadership team in technical and commercial analysis to support delivery of due diligence studies under demanding timelines and as an analyst on multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.

Undertake technical asset reviews assessing the risk profile of the asset or portfolio.

Perform business planning and capex/opex analysis.

Qualifications

Recognised relevant tertiary qualifications in commerce, engineering, or a related area of expertise.

Demonstrated knowledge of industry or specialist areas and the ability to keep up to date with current industry information and skills.

Ability to uphold high standards in work, meticulously reviewing all aspects to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Understanding of client needs (both internal and external) and ability to manage issues that may impact project outcomes effectively and efficiently.

Ability to maintain personal effectiveness, manage workload under normal circumstances and under significant pressure.
