Our client is a respected, purpose-driven organisation within the education sector, supporting a broad network of members and institutions across Victoria.

Following the appointment of a new CEO, the organisation is entering an exciting phase of digital renewal and modernisation, focused on strengthening data capability, cybersecurity, and member engagement.

The Opportunity Reporting directly to the CEO and forming part of the executive leadership team, the Head of Digital & Development will lead enterprise technology, data, and digital strategy balancing stability with transformation.

This role oversees a multi-disciplinary team covering software development, infrastructure, data, cybersecurity and user support, working collaboratively across the organisation to deliver high-impact digital outcomes.

Your Role

Modernise and secure a complex Microsoft-based environment (cloud, applications, security)

Build a connected, data-driven ecosystem that improves efficiency and insight

Simplify and optimise legacy systems while ensuring service continuity

Strengthen cybersecurity, privacy, and risk frameworks

Lead and develop an engaged in-house team with a service-first culture

Your Background

HEAD OF DIGITAL or CIO in a smaller IT consultancy

Proven success leading enterprise digital or technology functions

Depth across cloud, cyber, and software ecosystems (Azure desirable)

Ability to translate technology into business and member value

Trusted advisor to executives and boards, with strong EQ and influence

Experience in education, membership, government, or service-based sectors

Calm, collaborative, and values-driven leadership style
