Company: Mercer Description: We are seeking a talented individual to join our Sales team at Mercer. This is a Melbourne or Sydney based role. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

Senior Proposal Manager Our team is growing and we need an experienced Senior Proposal Manager to lead and manage the end-to-end proposal development process. This role is critical in driving the success of our new business pursuits by delivering compelling, compliant, and competitive proposals to support growth objectives.

Key Pursuit Responsibilities

Lead the development, coordination, and delivery of high-quality proposals, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company strategy.

Manage proposal timelines, resources, and cross-functional teams to meet deadlines and quality standards.

Collaborate closely with sales, business development, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders to gather content and insights.

Develop and implement proposal strategies, win themes, and messaging that differentiate our offerings.

Review and edit proposal content for clarity, consistency, and compliance with RFP requirements.

Maintain and enhance proposal templates, content libraries, and best practices.

Provide coaching and guidance to junior proposal team members.

Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to inform proposal approaches.

Support post-submission activities such as clarifications, presentations, and negotiations as required.

What you need to have:

Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in proposal management, preferably with

Investments experience in Financial Institutions .

Proficiency in proposal management software (e.g. QorusDocs, Seismic) and strong Microsoft Office suite skills.

Proven track record of managing complex, high-value proposals.

Experience developing client-centric value propositions

Strong pursuit management skills with the ability to manage multiple proposals simultaneously.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Experience in stakeholder engagement and influencing at all organisational levels.
