Architect - Mining Fleet Management & Autonomy Solutions DXC Technology (NYSE:DXC) – a global IT services provider – is seeking an experienced Architect to lead the design and development of a cutting‑edge mining fleet management and autonomy solution for a Global Mining Company, based in Perth. The role will commence in January 2026 and requires full‑time, onsite engagement in Perth.

Location: Perth, Western Australia, Australia. Salary: A$90,000.00 – A$120,000.00.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with subject matter experts to thoroughly understand and document business and technical requirements for the mining fleet management and autonomy solution.

Translate high‑level requirements into detailed, well‑defined design specifications that are clear, concise, and ready for development.

Produce comprehensive documentation, including diagrams, flowcharts, and technical specifications, to support the design.

Serve as a technical point of contact for the development and testing teams, providing guidance, clarification, and support throughout the development lifecycle.

Present and explain design specifications to developers and testers, answering their questions and providing necessary context.

Participate in design reviews to ensure adherence to architectural principles, standards, and best practices.

Stay up‑to‑date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to mining fleet management, autonomy, and related fields.

Contribute to the development of architectural patterns and best practices for the team.

Qualifications

Proven experience as an Architect, with a track record of successfully designing and delivering complex software solutions.

Strong understanding of software development methodologies and best practices.

Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Experience creating detailed design specifications and documentation.

Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Highly Desirable

Experience working with mining fleet management and/or autonomy solutions (or demonstrated understanding of these solutions).

Technical background, with hands‑on experience in software development.

Experience with cloud‑based architectures (e.g., AWS, Azure).

Experience with relevant technologies (e.g., IoT, data analytics, real‑time systems).
