Job Description
UGL’s Fuels and Energy East business is seeking a talented Senior Electrical, Instrumentation & Control Engineer to work across brownfield and asset maintenance projects for fuel terminals or petrochemical settings under our PEM&AM contract. Reporting to the Lead E&IC Engineer you will work with a team of engineers and designers to provide reliable technical expertise ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to an exceptional standard. This hybrid role can be based in either our Brisbane or Melbourne office, both in the Southbank area convenient to public transport. Occasional site visits will be required.
Key Responsibilities
Lead engineering design efforts, including design calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reviews.
Design, implement, construct, and commission LV and MV equipment and systems, particularly in brownfield environments.
Develop and review E&I deliverables, including electrical design engineering, motor sizing, and hazardous area classification.
Manage vendor data, technical bids, FAT & SAT, and site contractor coordination.
Provide engineering troubleshooting support and manage project deliverables efficiently.
About You
10+ years’ experience in engineering, maintenance, project implementation and commissioning in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Chemical industries.
Proven experience in LV / Switchboard upgrades and hands on instrumentation & control.
Hold a Tertiary Engineering qualification.
Registered Professional Engineer (CPEng) and RPEQ qualified.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage multiple stakeholders.
