Senior Manager, Site Selection Strategy & Acquisition - MEL

Responsibilities
Identify and acquire strategic data‑centre sites across Australia, including established and emerging regions.
Engage directly with landowners, property developers, government agencies, and real‑estate brokers to source, evaluate, and secure high‑potential sites for development.
Conduct comprehensive market research and opportunity mapping to identify strategic expansion opportunities and assess target locations and customer availability zones.
Build and maintain strong relationships with landowners, brokers, developers, and government agencies to source and evaluate potential sites.
Coordinate the collection of due‑diligence materials from external representatives and stakeholders, and manage the due‑diligence budget for site‑selection activities.
Partner with a multidisciplinary team—including engineers, consultants, and real‑estate professionals—to conduct thorough due‑diligence and feasibility assessments.
Support internal teams in preparing documentation for investment approvals, including financial models and investment memoranda.
Negotiate key legal documents such as NDAs, engagement letters, lease agreements, sale‑and‑purchase agreements, and coordinate with internal and external legal teams to ensure alignment with deal terms.
Prepare clear and concise presentation materials and regular updates for internal stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, and key milestones in the site acquisition process.
Requirements
8–10 years of experience in the real‑estate sector, with a focus on acquisitions, transaction management, or project/development management.
Experience in the industrial or data‑centre sectors is advantageous but not mandatory.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in team environments.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills are highly regarded.
