Deputy Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Job Overview The Company is seeking a Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Deputy CEO) to take on an operational leadership role with a focus on building a strong culture and ensuring operational effectiveness. This newly created position is pivotal in overseeing the day‑to‑day management and performance of the organization, with a specific emphasis on aligning business functions with the strategic priorities set by the Board and CEO. The successful candidate will work closely with the senior leadership team, providing hands‑on leadership across corporate services, business operations, and project delivery, while ensuring that the organization meets its statutory, legal, contractual, and cultural obligations.

Responsibilities As a Deputy CEO, you will be responsible for driving operational execution, organizational performance, and continuous improvement. The role requires a culturally grounded leader who is deeply committed to advancing Aboriginal self‑determination, with a strong background in managing complex operations, leading multidisciplinary teams, and fostering a culturally safe and high‑performing workplace. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in change leadership, stakeholder engagement, and working across government, and will be motivated by a genuine commitment to protecting and promoting the cultural heritage of the community. Strong financial acumen, sound governance, and the ability to build trusted relationships with Elders, the community, and stakeholders are essential for this position.
