About the Role
Tenure:
Fixed term (6 months with options for possible extension)
Science and Innovation, Industry and Corporate Capability builds the State’s capacity through targeted support, fostering innovation and industry capability and ensures effective and efficient administration of DEED’s financial assistance and equity programs and business support functions.
We’re seeking expressions of interest from experienced, forward‑thinking leaders to step into the role of Director Risk and Governance, a role central to ensuring the Department meets its statutory obligations and upholds the highest standards of accountability and public value.
This senior role is responsible for delivering robust and contemporary frameworks that strengthen the Department’s approach to risk management, integrity, corporate governance and business continuity. You will champion a culture of integrity, guide effective risk practices, and oversee governance arrangements that support consistent, compliant and high‑quality decision‑making. You’ll also lead the Department’s business continuity approach and internal audit function, ensuring robust assurance mechanisms are in place.
