Finance Business Partner Department of Transport and Planning•Melbourne, Eastern Metropolitan
Role
The Finance Business Partner position is responsible for managing and ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial information within the Oracle Project Financial Management modules. This role is pivotal in aligning financial forecasts and budgets for projects, collaborating with business units and support teams to optimize financial management practices. The Finance Business Partner will provide expert financial advice and support to project teams, enabling informed decision-making and effective project delivery.
Position Outcomes / Accountabilities
Financial Management
Exercise professional judgement in undertaking a range of financial business partnering activities including budget and forecast development, actual financial performance monitoring, analysis and reporting, and project/program financial management.
Business Partnership
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal clients and inform, advise and influence clients in understanding financial matters and outcomes which affect their decision making and business performance.
System and Process Optimization
Enhance financial processes and systems, including Oracle Project Financial Management modules. Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
Financial Planning and Reporting
Develop and maintain project budgets and forecasts. Provide financial reporting and analysis to support effective project management and risk mitigation.
In line with Section 31A of the Public Administration Act 2004 (Vic) other duties may be assigned consistent with employment classification, skills, and capabilities.
Qualifications and Experience
Desirable
Tertiary qualification in a relevant or a related discipline
Relevant Finance or Accounting degree which includes all foundation requirements for entry into CPA Program
CPA or CA Membership
