Child and Family Practitioner | Family Intervention Service | Mt Gravatt Employment Term: Maximum Term to January 2027, Full-Time (76 hours per fortnight)

Location: Mt Gravatt

Remuneration: $51 per hour + Super + NFP Salary Packaging (save tax and increase your take home pay)

Your part in our UnitingCare team The Child and Family Practitioner will be responsible for providing services to vulnerable children, young people and families within the Family Intervention Service (FIS). This role provides a holistic response to the needs of families whose children are at imminent risk of out of home placement or requiring reunification following a period of out of home care.

In This Role You'll

Work intensively with families in their homes to address issues relating to, but not limited to, child protection concerns.

Provide negotiated combinations of therapeutic interventions, practical and emotional support, counselling and education, families are offered opportunities to make informed decisions and change for their future.

What makes a difference for us?

A tertiary qualification (minimum Bachelor Degree) in a relevant human services field with relevant experience in previous roles, and where relevant registration with a nationally recognised professional body is desirable.

Demonstrated skills and sound knowledge gained through experience working with children and families.

Be able to achieve results through personal proficiency and demonstrate high-quality technical or professional work.

Experience in the area of child protection is preferred.

Blue Card.

Current drivers licence.
