Principal Consultant: We’re looking for a dynamic and versatile NetSuite professional who can thrive across both delivery and presales environments. This role is ideal for someone who combines deep NetSuite expertise with confidence and personality to engage with clients, lead solution discussions post‑sale, and drive delivery excellence. You will act as a principal delivery consultant while also contributing to presales solution architecture, shaping demos, responding to RFPs, and tailoring solutions to client needs. Commercial acumen, comfort in the spotlight, and the ability to hold your own with customers, partners, and senior stakeholders are essential. Over time, you can deepen your path into either Solution Architecture or Delivery Leadership, depending on your strengths and aspirations. Preference will be given to resources based in Melbourne.

Functional

Advanced knowledge across all core modules

Record to Report (Chart of Accounts Design, Native and Custom Segments and Design/Customization of Reports, Intercompany and Consolidations)

Procure to Pay (Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Contracts, Purchase Orders, Item Receipts, Vendor Bills, Vendor Returns and Credits, Approval Workflow)

Order to Cash (Sales Orders, Drop Ships and Special Orders, Item Fulfillment, Invoicing, Returns and Credits)

CRM (Leads, Opportunities, Prospects, Estimates, Contact Management)

Design to Build (Inventory, Work Orders, Assemblies)

Marketing to ROI

Case Management

Proficiency in at least 4 of the following specialized Modules

Project to Cash

WIP & Routing

Fixed Assets

FSM

WMS

Demand Planning/MRP

Quality Management

SuiteBilling

Experience working with Partner Solutions (vendor coordination level), such as

RF Smart

NetGain

Zone

Celigo

SPS Commerce

Blue Collar or Full Clarity

Technical

Advanced Workflow Design and Development (Multiple States, transitions, actions, action groups, formulas)

Advanced Saved Search (ability to use SQL code in formulas, ability to use saved searches for custom fields and workflows)

Custom fields, custom records, understanding of subrecords/sublists, joins, custom transaction types

Advanced PDF Customization (format common outward‑facing documents such as Purchase Orders, Invoices and Statements to customer requirements)

Scripting (create Functional Requirements Documents or Solution Design Documents for scripted solutions, communicate requirements to developers, oversee development, perform functional testing)

Integrations (understand iPAAS solutions, direct API connections, field mapping, database schema; proven track record of designing integrations)

Soft Skills

Active Listening, ability to take in information and prompt/confirm to clarify correct understanding

Ability to gather information and formulate solutions, communicate the solutions to stakeholders

Project Management — understanding of project lifecycle stages and ability to adapt to BPC methodology, apply project management skills, plan and execute to project timelines

Leadership — act as Lead Consultant, primary point of contact for project activities, clarify and delegate tasks, communicate status and issues to Project Manager, Engagement Manager, SA and Customer stakeholders, guide and mentor junior consultants

Ability to write and review Business Requirement Documents, Solution Design Documents and Integration Design Documents clearly

Conflict Resolution — hear opposing points, find common ground, steer conversation toward alignment and resolution

Sales Support — understand Sales objectives and methods, support SA in discoveries and demo prep, act as SME during sales cycle

Ability to lead meetings, workshops and work sessions, ensuring objectives are communicated and achieved

Professionalism/Communication — composed, confident demeanor, clear and concise verbal and written communication, collaborative approach

Education and Qualifications

Minimum 5 years experience as NetSuite Consultant

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Engineering or similar field

NetSuite Certifications (or commitment to gain them within 3 months): SuiteFoundations, NetSuite Certified Administrator, NetSuite Certified ERP Consultant essential, Financial User, SuiteAnalytics User, SuiteCloud Developer optional

Professional or Industry Certifications favorable — CPA, CA, PMP, Six Sigma, etc.

Salary Range: $160,000 to $195,000 AUD
