4-month full-time contract

to lead our Forestville Early Learning Centre, building on the exceptional care and education already in place.

About the Centre Forestville Early Learning Centre is a purpose-built 60-place Preschool, located on the grounds of Our Lady Of Good Counsel Catholic Primary School. We provide high-quality Early Learning for children aged 3-5 years.

Preschool: 8:00am - 3:30pm (term time)

You’ll join a supportive, well-established centre with strong community connections.

About The Role As Child Care Director, you’ll provide confident leadership and operational oversight, ensuring children, families, and educators experience a safe, nurturing, and high-quality service.

You Will

Lead the delivery of high-quality education and care in line with the National Quality Framework, EYLF, and relevant legislation

Ensure compliance with Child Safe Standards

Inspire, mentor, and support a skilled team of early learning professionals

Foster a culture of reflective practice and continuous improvement

Manage day-to-day operations with the support of an Administration Assistant and Practice Manager

Build strong, trusted relationships with children, families, and the school community

What you’ll bring

Bachelor of Early Childhood Education with Teaching Proficient Accreditation

Experience in a teaching and leadership role within an early learning setting

Identify and Respond to Children and Young People at Risk certification

Current First Aid & CPR, including Asthma and Anaphylaxis

Food Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain)

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Current Criminal History Check and Working With Children Check

Knowledge of Start Strong Funding, High Support Learning Needs Funding, and Inclusion Support
