An opportunity exists for a senior finance leader to step into a
General Manager – Finance
role, reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the Board and executive stakeholders. This position sits between a traditional
CFO and Finance Manager , combining enterprise-level strategic influence with hands-on financial leadership across a single mining operation.

The Role
As General Manager – Finance, you will lead the end-to-end finance function, providing strategic financial guidance while maintaining strong ownership of operational finance, governance, and control. You will partner closely with the CEO and technical leaders to support capital allocation, project evaluation, and long-term value creation.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Leadership
Act as a trusted financial advisor to the CEO and executive leadership team
Lead capital allocation and investment evaluation aligned to business strategy
Provide rigorous financial modelling, analysis, and risk assessment for major projects
Financial Reporting & Governance
Oversee accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax obligations, and governance frameworks
Manage external audit processes and key advisor relationships
Budgeting, Forecasting & Performance
Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes
Deliver variance analysis and performance insights to executive and board stakeholders
Prepare monthly business and financial update reports
Cost Control & Capital Management
Maintain ownership of operational cost control and capital expenditure tracking
Develop business cases for capital projects and operational initiatives
Identify efficiency opportunities across mining operations
Cash Flow, Treasury & Risk
Manage cash flow, liquidity, and treasury functions
Maintain robust internal controls and financial risk management frameworks
People & Leadership
Lead and develop a small, high-performing finance team
Promote accountability, continuous improvement, and collaborative ways of working
About You
CPA or CA qualified
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
10+ years’ experience in senior financial leadership roles, ideally within mining, resources, or other capital-intensive industries
Strong expertise in capital allocation, financial reporting, budgeting, and cost management
Experience with ERP systems and advanced financial modelling
Confident communicator with the ability to engage at executive and board level
Commercially astute, analytical, and comfortable challenging decisions constructively
