AO6 Senior Finance Officer (Budget) – Corporate Finance Team

Your New Role

As the Senior Finance Officer (Budget), you will take ownership of budget management and high-level financial reporting. You will partner with business areas to provide financial insights, support decision-making and ensure strong financial controls.

Your Key Contributions

Manage and administer the organisation’s budget and entity-wide financial practices

Deliver financial analysis, modelling, forecasting and reporting for senior stakeholders

Contribute to the whole-of-department budget and forecasting processes

Provide advice on asset management, including large building portfolios

Ensure compliance with the Financial Management Practice Manual (FMPM)

Build strong working relationships across finance and operational teams

Support continuous improvement of financial systems, policies and procedures

Provide leadership and guidance to staff where required (optional leadership opportunity)

What You’ll Need to Succeed

Proven experience in senior finance roles with a strong budget management focus

Demonstrated experience using SAP is required

Strong analytical, organisational and financial reporting skills

Ability to build effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders

Leadership experience is beneficial but not essential

Experience with TechnologyOne is beneficial but not required

AP and AR experience is beneficial but not required

CA or CPA qualification is highly regarded

Blue Card required or willingness to apply upon acceptance of the role
