About the role
You’ll lead strategic, high‑profile communications for the Illegal Waste Dumping Taskforce, shaping how EPA engages with communities, industry and government on a high‑profile regulatory issue. This is a senior generalist role where you’ll design and deliver creative, multi‑channel communications to deter illegal dumping and drive behaviour change across Victoria.
In this role you will
Lead the development, delivery and evaluation of the Taskforce’s strategic communications approach.
Identify and drive proactive media and communications opportunities, working closely with EPA’s media team.
Develop high‑quality external communications, including campaign materials, messaging and content across channels.
Build and maintain strong relationships with taskforce partners, including councils, industry and government stakeholders.
Provide senior‑level strategic communications advice across EPA, supporting high‑profile work.
Skills and experience
Proven experience delivering senior‑level strategic communications in a complex or government environment.
Strong external communications focus, with experience working across multiple channels and audiences.
Excellent writing skills, with the ability to produce clear, compelling content for diverse audiences, including ministerial materials.
Creative and strategic thinker, able to develop fresh approaches to influence behaviour change and deliver impact.
