The Role:
As General Manager, you will oversee NAX Capital’s Melbourne operations, driving strategic initiatives, leading a high-performing team, and ensuring the seamless delivery of our technology-driven platform. This pivotal role requires exceptional leadership, a deep understanding of financial systems, and a commitment to operational excellence in the fast-evolving cryptocurrency market.
Key Responsibilities:
-Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement business strategies to enhance market share, profitability, and NAX Capital’s standing as a leader in the cryptocurrency sector.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse, high-performing team across multiple functions, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Operational Management: Oversee the daily operations of the exchange and brokerage, ensuring efficiency, security, and an exceptional user experience.
- Technical Expertise: Apply in-depth knowledge of financial operating systems (e.g., trading platforms, blockchain technology, portfolio management tools) to optimise processes and drive technological innovation.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to Australian financial regulations (e.g., ASIC, AUSTRAC) and global cryptocurrency standards, managing risk and maintaining accurate financial reporting.
- Stakeholder Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulators, industry partners, and other stakeholders, representing NAX Capital with professionalism and integrity.
- Client Experience: Drive strategies to enhance customer acquisition, retention, and satisfaction, ensuring a seamless and secure client experience.
- Financial Oversight: Monitor key performance indicators, manage budgets, and implement cost-effective strategies to achieve financial objectives.
- Market Innovation: Identify emerging trends, opportunities, and technological advancements in the cryptocurrency and fintech sectors to maintain a competitive edge.
What We’re Looking For:
- Leadership Experience: Minimum of 7 years in a senior leadership role within a cryptocurrency exchange, fintech, or financial services organisation, with a proven ability to lead teams and deliver results in a high-pressure environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong expertise in blockchain technology, cryptocurrency markets, and financial operating systems, with experience in optimising technology-driven workflows. Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (e.g., ASIC, AUSTRAC) is essential.
- Team Management: Demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and professional growth.
- Strategic Acumen: A strategic thinker with the ability to identify opportunities, manage risks, and drive growth in a competitive market.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and build trust.
- Qualifications: A degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA, or blockchain-related qualifications) are highly regarded.
