Ford Pro Modifications Director, IMG

📍 Melbourne, Australia

Business Ford Motor Company

Job Description

About Us Ignited by customer needs and expectations, Ford Pro helps power the growth and productivity of every business today and tomorrow. We are committed to accelerating productivity and sustainability for our commercial customers with a one-stop-shop of vehicles and services. The Portfolio Strategy & Modifications Director is the strategic architect behind Ford Pro’s vehicle and modifications portfolio across International Markets.

About the Role As the Portfolio Strategy & Modifications Director, you will bridge the gap between identifying future customer needs and executing the complex commercial ecosystem required to meet them. Leading a high-performing team of Strategy and Operations Managers, you will define "where we play" and "how we win" by identifying profitable white space and driving the global growth of our modifications and upfitting business. By synthesizing macro-trends—such as electrification and autonomy—with deep technical and financial expertise, you will build an integrated ecosystem that maximizes Ford’s profitability, market share, and value proposition across the commercial vehicle landscape.

Reporting directly to the Ford Pro General Manager, this position can be based at Melbourne, Saudi or Dubai office. This role operates under a hybrid work arrangement, requiring four days on-site.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Engineering, Sales, Business, or a related field.

10+ years of progressive experience in strategic planning, product portfolio management, or commercial leadership within the automotive or transport industry.

Proven expertise in translating complex customer insights and vocational research into actionable, long-term product and business strategies.

A documented track record of business development, driving EBIT and market share growth.

Highly desirable experience leading successful vehicle modification strategies, including deep knowledge of second-stage manufacturing and technical constraints.

Proven ability to operate across diverse international markets, adapting strategies to varying regulatory environments and regional customer behaviours.

Ability to identify "white space" opportunities and synthesize macro-trends (Electrification, Autonomy, Logistics) into a cohesive 5–10 year roadmap.

Exceptional "storytelling" skills to secure VP-level approvals, alongside the ability to negotiate and manage complex external partner ecosystems.

Equal Opportunity Ford is an inclusive employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment.

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Australia, or the UAE, as no visa sponsorship or relocation assistance is offered for this role, and verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.

---Applications will close on Sunday 15 March 2026--- Please note due to the high numbers of applications we will only be able to contact shortlisted candidates.
