About This Role Reporting to the Director, the Senior Estimator will take ownership of the estimating process from initial scope through to tender submission. You will work closely with project teams, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure accurate, competitive, and timely submissions.

This role has career progression into a Lead Estimator position.

Key responsibilities

Lead estimating for projects across fitout and newbuild projects up to $20 million

Drive commercial success by delivering strategic, accurate, and client-focused estimates that maximise competitiveness and secure new projects

Prepare detailed quantity take-offs, Bills of Quantities, and all tender documentation, ensuring commercial and technical compliance

Manage subcontractor and supplier pricing, assess risks, and provide commercial and contractual input to protect organisational interests

Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams

Analyse risk, pricing, and procurement strategies to deliver competitive bids

Mentor and guide 2 x junior estimators (not direct reports)

Requirements

Has 7+ years of proven experience as a Senior Estimator in commercial building estimation in QLD

Fitout and New build experience up to $20M

High level understanding of the QLD construction industry, core market stakeholders and activity

Experience estimating structural elements, i.e; Prepare accurate cost estimates for structural elements including foundations, beams, columns, slabs, rebar, and structural steel etc

Cost planning experience is a bonus

Proficiency in CostX estimating software

In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies and project costing processes

Possesses strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
