Bechtel is providing a wide variety of project and contract management services, crossing all disciplines, to customers in Western Australia to support exciting capital works programmes, including in aviation, defence and energy infrastructure. We are looking for people to join us in a long-term relationship to deliver these services in and around Perth where we are working within integrated teams with our customers and to help build Bechtelโ€™s capabilities for even greater opportunities in the future.

Job Summary The Talent and Training Partner identifies and resolves learning opportunities and solutions for individuals and organisationally within the Project Team, ensures that development gaps are closed to enable the person to grow and build organisational capability. To achieve this will mean identifying training providers and training programs, ensuring learning outcomes are clear and are met, and recording of development in the appropriate system. Design and implement training programs and curricula aligned with business objectives and approved Training Matrix e.g. onboarding program and supervisor essentials. Develop or obtain content to address gaps in existing programs and deliver customised training to improve employee performance. Advise on appropriate delivery methods based on audience needs and technology constraints.

Major Responsibilities

Develops e-Learning and instructorโ€‘led courses in partnership with a content SME through all stages of the learning design process

Develops graphics, animations, videos, and multiโ€‘media

Performs technical troubleshooting during and after the production process

Conducts quality assurance testing on all training materials created, including loading, testing, and evaluating programs in the Learning Management System (SuccessFactors)

Stays up to date with the latest design methods, theories, and technologies

Facilitates learning on a variety of topics both virtually and in person across the organization

Utilizes multiple facilitation methods to engage course participants

Makes minor modifications to learning design to accommodate regional training needs

Provides input and recommendations to support the design of future courses

May deliver oneโ€‘toโ€‘one coaching for leaders and individuals

Education and Experience Requirements

Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5โ€‘8 years of relevant experience or 9โ€‘12 years of relevant work experience

Required Knowledge and Skills

Proven ability to exercise a high degree of individual initiative, discretion, and judgement, as well as the ability to work effectively under pressure with changing priorities and deadlines.

Skill in working and communicating effectively, both orally and in writing, with other project functional groups.

Previous project training experience is desirable โ€“ during engineering, procurement, and construction phases on large projects.

Proven ability to build strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders and team members.
