Principal Solicitor | Corporate & Commercial Law | 8-10 Years PQE

About A Telstra Business Award‑nominated firm with a footprint across NSW, QLD and VIC seeks the experience and commercial acumen of a Principal Solicitor to help them grow their Melbourne practice.

Conditions for Success

Minimum 8‑10 years PQE practising as an Australian Solicitor with experience in Commercial or Corporate law.

Excellent communication skills – confident approach and ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels and relevant third parties.

Experience in business development and readily able to manage client expectations.

Ability to prioritise and manage many files and project deadlines simultaneously.

Adept commercial acumen and disposition – proactive, innovative and outcome‑focused approach.

Your Responsibilities

Liaise with clients, solicitors and barristers, along with Melbourne office staff to help grow the Corporate & Commercial practice.

Provide tailored advice to clients to ensure an optimal outcome.

Establish and maintain client relationships and expectations through regular and effective communication.

Prepare court documents, correspondence and briefs to barristers.

Arrange meetings and manage your case files with attention to detail.

Handle matters from start to finish autonomously.

Draft other legal documents such as complex wills with testamentary trusts.

Liaise with psychological counsellors in the team.
