Join our Fire Services team in the heart of Adelaide’s CBD and help deliver projects that strengthen Australia’s built environment.

What this role is all about As a Senior Fire Services Engineer, you will play an important role in delivering high-quality fire services design outcomes across a diverse project portfolio including Education, Retail, Multi‑Residential, Hotels, Hospitality, Defence, Health and Infrastructure.

Working alongside multidisciplinary teams across Lucid’s national network, you’ll contribute technical expertise, build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, and support the continued growth of our South Australian Fire discipline.

How you’ll contribute day-to-day

Lead delivery of fire services design projects with a focus on technical excellence

Manage projects end-to-end from concept through detailed design and delivery.

Lead delivery of fire services design projects with a focus on technical excellence

Implement fire services system designs in accordance with relevant Australian and International Standards

Support and mentor graduate engineers as the team continues to grow and develop capability.

Participate in site inspections and construction phase activities

Prepare technical reports and documentation

Liaise with relevant authorities and project stakeholders

Build strong relationships between clients, contractors and project partners.

What sets you up for success

An Australian‑recognised degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Engineering or a related discipline

Strong knowledge of Australian Standards, NCC and relevant industry codes.

Working towards Chartered status (CPEng), or interest in pursuing

Holds national and/or regional registrations such as NER, FPAS, RPEQ

Australian Citizenship or permanent working rights in Australia

Proficiency with engineering and design software such as Autodesk Revit/Navisworks.

Strong written and verbal communication skills to engage a wide range of stakeholders

Proven experience across all phases of project design and delivery
