The Opportunity We’re seeking a

Senior Legal Counsel – Corporate, Commercial & Disputes

to join our Legal team in a key advisory role supporting complex corporate, commercial and contentious matters across the business. This is a broad, high-impact role where you’ll operate as a trusted legal partner to senior stakeholders, helping navigate commercial risk in a highly regulated environment.

Reporting to the General Counsel – Wagering & Corporate, you’ll provide pragmatic, commercially grounded advice across transactions and disputes, manage matters end-to-end with external counsel, and support the business to make well-informed decisions in fast-moving and often high-stakes contexts.

What You’ll Do

Lead the drafting, review and negotiation of complex commercial and corporate agreements

Provide legal advice across corporate, commercial and regulatory matters

Own the management of disputes and contentious matters, including strategy, instructions and oversight of external counsel

Assess and manage legal risk, balancing regulatory obligations with commercial objectives

Support the business on contractual issues, complaints and disputes

Partner closely with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver timely, high-quality legal outcomes

Contribute to continuous improvement of legal processes, templates and ways of working

About You You’re a commercially minded senior lawyer who’s comfortable operating with autonomy in a regulated, fast-paced environment. You bring strong judgement, a pragmatic approach to risk, and the confidence to advise senior stakeholders on complex and sometimes ambiguous issues.

You bring:

Strong post-admission experience in corporate and commercial law (in-house and/or top-tier or mid-tier private practice)

Solid experience managing disputes and contentious matters end-to-end

Proven ability to lead matters independently and manage external counsel

Strong commercial acumen and practical risk judgement

Clear, confident communication and strong stakeholder engagement skills

Experience working in, or advising, regulated industries (highly regarded)
