Job Description We are seeking a Director of Finance ready to elevate one of Brisbane's most renowned luxury hotels and redefine what financial leadership and commercial excellence look like in hospitality. In this role, you will : Oversee and direct all financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with the hotel's commercial objectives.

Develop, implement, and monitor financial strategies, budgets, and long-term plans that strengthen profitability and operational efficiency.

Lead, mentor, and empower the Finance team, fostering a culture of integrity, accountability, and excellence.

Analyse market trends, business performance, and economic indicators, providing strategic recommendations that optimise revenue, cost efficiency, and overall financial health.

Prepare and present detailed financial reports, forecasts, risk assessments, and KPIs to the General Manager and Executive Team, offering insights that guide high-impact decision-making.

Ensure robust internal controls, compliance with regulatory and brand standards, and best-practice financial processes across all departments.

Partner with department leaders to support commercial initiatives, evaluate investments, and strengthen both short-term and long-term performance.

Represent the hotel with confidence in audits, owner meetings, and key stakeholder discussions, building trust through transparency and expertise.

Qualifications Extensive experience in financial management and strategic planning within the luxury hospitality sector

Proven ability to identify, evaluate, and optimize key financial opportunities to support organizational growth

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field

Strategic thinker with a proactive mindset and a strong focus on delivering accurate, results-driven financial outcomes

Comprehensive knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance frameworks

Strong leadership capabilities with experience supervising and coordinating multidisciplinary finance teams

Deep understanding of the luxury hotel market and the financial dynamics that influence the segment

High proficiency in financial and hotel management systems, including advanced analytical and reporting tools

Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills tailored to financial and operational discussions

Ability to build and sustain strong relationships with internal departments, ownership groups, and external partners

Strong problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and adaptability in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
