Client Investment Director

The role: The Client & Investment Director is a senior role at Initiative responsible for managing the daily operation of the team, developing client investment strategies and go to market approaches and ensuring the successful activation of clients' investments. Working with some of our largest, high profile and successful clients you will bring your media expertise to both our clients and our people. You will report into and partner with the Perth Head of Investment to drive product excellence, innovative work and market leading media partner relationships and engagement. This role requires strong leadership skills and a passion for building high performing teams through resourcing, collaboration, learning and development, career development and positive team morale. What will your day look like? Collaborate with Strategy, Communications Design, and Analytics to ensure investment decisions ladder up to business outcomes. Translate strategic intent into measurable channel investment KPIs. Develop agency and client benchmarks, evolving processes when required. Understand client's accountability, delivering on all trading objectives outlined in contracts & deliverables are managed. Own delivery against rate, quality, and value benchmarks across all channels. Ensure trading performance meets contractual and audit benchmarks (as per clients auditor outlined in contract). Accountable for accurate forecasting, phasing, and reconciliation of client investment. Oversee implementation of trading governance, compliance, and financial hygiene (PO matching, invoice accuracy, payment term adherence). Lead client negotiations across all channels. Develop strategy and prepare negotiation approach, briefs, present recommendations and implement. Lead and support teams with clarity, delegate effectively and empower team members to take ownership. What will you bring? 8+ years of experience in media planning and buying; 4+ years' experience team leadership. Excellent understanding of media across all disciplines (online and offline) and how to apply to deliver optimal client solutions. Strong client management and people management skills, with proven experience of managing a team. The ability to work successfully within a team, handling multiple projects, meeting tight deadlines under pressure, and contributing creatively to the ideation process.
