As the General Manager of Adelaide Remand Centre (ARC), you’ll lead the strategic direction and daily operations of a high-profile facility. You’ll provide clear and compassionate leadership while driving best practice in safety, security and rehabilitation. Working closely with Government partners and community groups, your role will help shape a more positive future for those in custody and the teams who support them. Key Responsibilities
As the General Manager in the Justice team, you’ll make a positive impact by:
Leading and inspiring a high‑performing multidisciplinary team
Managing contract performance and maintaining full compliance
Ensuring safety, security and rehabilitation programs are prioritised
Developing and maintaining strong stakeholder and community relations
Overseeing financial performance and resource allocation
Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and learning

Senior management experience in corrections, immigration, or similar settings
Strong understanding of correctional operations, legislation and best practice
Proven ability to lead with integrity, empathy and inclusive leadership
Experience developing others with a focus on building capable, confident teams
High‑level commercial and contractual acumen with strong planning skills
A degree in criminology, psychology, management or relevant field (or equivalent experience)
