Job Description
KPMG Lawโs highly regarded national team of Tax Dispute Resolution and Controversy specialists is looking for a lawyer with extensive experience in tax disputes and a minimum of 8 years in an advisory firm, Big 4, law firm or government.
Responsibilities
Prepare for and resolve clientsโ risk reviews, audits and disputes with the ATO, AusIndustry and state revenue authorities, including complex ATO audits, objections, briefing counsel and advising on risk reviews, audits, independent reviews and tax litigation.
Develop and provide written and oral advocacy skills and legal advice in taxation law and administrative law in collaboration with KPMG Law and KPMG staff.
Work nationally across all jurisdictions with partners and team members from other states.
Collaborate with specialist groups across KPMGโs Deals, Tax & Legal practice in Australia and internationally.

Your Experience
Previous experience in corporate tax, international tax, tax law and/or tax dispute resolution and controversy in a Big 4 firm, law firm or the Australian Taxation Office.
Ability to quickly establish stakeholder engagement and act as an advisor to the business as a tax law expert.
Ability to integrate information from diverse sources and consider the broader impact of issues.
Strong interpersonal, influencing and project management skills and the ability to motivate a highโperforming team.
Ability to support career progression for highโpotential people, identify development needs and provide guidance.
Honest and ethical approach to business that aligns with our values.
Australian and/or other Commonwealth country legal experience.
Qualifications
You must have a Law Degree to be eligible for this role.
