What we are seeking?
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated
Group Head of Procurement
to join our dynamic procurement team. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in a fast‑paced and rapidly evolving industry. Based in Perth, the individual will work with both Perth and Adelaide facilities, partnering across the Group.
What will this role do?
This is a rare opportunity to lead and actively shape procurement outcomes across a growing pharmaceutical manufacturing business. As Group Head of Procurement, you will combine procurement oversight with hands‑on leadership, ensuring procurement policies, supplier performance, and commercial outcomes support BioCina’s operational and growth objectives. You will work closely with internal stakeholders across Perth and Adelaide to deliver cost‑effective, compliant and reliable procurement solutions, while developing a capable and high‑performing team.
Develop, implement, and improve company‑wide procurement policies, procedures, and strategies to ensure all procurement activities meet BioCina’s standards for quality, cost‑effectiveness, and compliance.
Lead, manage and develop the Procurement Team to ensure high performance, capability growth and alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.
Lead the selection, evaluation and ongoing management of suppliers, ensuring that all suppliers meet our requirements for quality, reliability, and cost‑effectiveness.
Oversee the negotiation of contracts, ensuring that the terms and conditions meet BioCina’s requirements and comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
Manage the procurement budget, ensuring that all procurement activities are cost‑effective and within budget.
Provide support and advice to the BioCina team on procurement matters, ensuring that all procurement activities are aligned with BioCina’s business objectives.
What are the qualifications?
Desirable will be a Bachelor’s degree in:
Business
Supply Chain Management
Procurement
Commerce
What attributes are we seeking?
Proven track record of developing and implementing procurement strategies that drive cost savings and operational efficiency.
High levels of attention to detail and a strong commercial mind‑set.
Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and to partner with internal stakeholders.
Solid understanding of procurement best practices, contract management, and supplier relationship management.
Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to make data‑driven decisions.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high‑performing procurement team.
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Proficiency in procurement software and tools, such as ERP systems and e‑procurement platforms.
