About Amberfield LDK Seniors' Living’s newest premium village, Amberfield, is located on Cotter Road in Weston, in Canberra’s inner south. It is a short driving distance to Yarralumla, Curtin and Woden town centre. Amberfield will feature 370+ homes, comprising of apartments, sky villas, and villas. About the Role The Village Head of Care is a pivotal leader within our Village Care Services team, providing operational and clinical oversight of care services tailored to the vibrant Amberfield community. Working closely with the Village General Manager, National Care Team, and Care Governance, this role ensures the delivery of safe, high‑quality, person‑centred care—grounded in our values of Love, Decency and Kindness. You’ll champion quality, compliance, and continuous improvement, mentor and empower your team, and foster strong relationships with residents, families, and staff. Role Responsibilities

Collaborate with the National Care Team on strategic initiatives.

Provide visible clinical leadership across the Village.

Manage the Village on‑call roster for care escalations.

Lead projects and change initiatives for Village Care Services.

Identify, assess, report, and mitigate risks.

Management of the village care team in collaboration with the People and Culture team.

Oversee and manage financial aspects of Village care delivery in collaboration with the Village General Manager, Village Finance Manager, Care Business Manager, and Support at Home Finance Manager.

Support the implementation of LDK’s Care Governance Framework.

Ensure compliance with incident and feedback management, SIRS management and responses to care escalation (in partnership with Care Governance).

Identify and address gaps from clinical and care audits.

Promote and role model a culture of exceeding customer service expectations.

Identify training needs and collaborate with the National Care Education Manager to deliver targeted education.

Ensure WH&S compliance for Village Care Services.

Qualifications and Experience

Registered nurse with minimum five (5) years’ experience

AHPRA registration

Engages in continuous professional development
