The Role The Head of Quality and Compliance is responsible for ensuring consistent alignment to regulatory and legislative frameworks that govern the Aged Care Sector in Australia. This role will lead with clarity and influence with their expert knowledge on matters of care quality, consumer safety and organizational governance. This role will ensure Aunty Grace’s service delivery meets the highest possible standards of governance, risk management, compliance, and integrity across the organization. Further, this role will support staff embedding a culture of continuous improvement into their daily practice.

The Head of Quality and Compliance will:

Provide strategic leadership of Aunty Grace’s quality, risk, compliance, and clinical governance functions.

Ensure the organisation consistently meets and exceeds aged care regulatory, legislative, and accreditation requirements.

Champion a culture of integrity, consumer safety, and continuous improvement across the organisation and ensure this is represented in organisational documentation, such as policies processes.

Partner with the Executive, Board, and Operations teams to strengthen governance, refine models of care, and align practice with organisational strategy.

Advise on emerging risks, trends, and best practice standards to support sustainable, high-quality service delivery.

Skills & Qualifications Expected

Tertiary education in Quality Auditing or any related discipline.

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Senior Clinical Management position or similar.

Proven track record in leading governance and compliance within a complex, regulated environment.

In – depth knowledge of aged care legislation, standards, and accreditation processes.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and develop actionable insights.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Postgraduate qualifications in Health Services Management, Governance, Risk Management or Quality Improvement

Background in accreditation leadership

Mandatory Requirements This offer of this role will be conditional on the preferred applicant also successfully meeting the following criteria:

The right to work in Australia

A National Criminal History Check / Police Check (working without supervision with vulnerable people) showing no disclosable Court Outcomes or Convictions.

Any other required screening to enable registration as a ‘Responsible Person’*

Vaccination status - We require proof of the initial 2 COVID Vaccinations and strongly encourage COVID boosters and an annual influenza vaccination

A current, valid Australian Driver’s License with no restrictions

Excellent references from two relevant work-related referees
