About the Role You will be responsible for optimizing release planning and proactively mitigating risks. Regular executive-level updates on delivery health and championing Agile and DevOps practices are also essential.

You will ensure there is no delivery gap in managing and coordinating technology initiatives that fall outside the scope of large-scale programs run by the PMO. Responsibilities include managing major projects as they transition into business-as-usual (BAU) ensuring continuity, planning, and delivery of medium-scale changes, upgrades, and maintenance activities.

You will provide oversight of ongoing enhancements, vendor releases, and compliance-driven changes across platforms, along with resource allocation, scheduling, and prioritisation across internal teams and third parties.

Additionally, this role is responsible for leading the delivery of feature enhancements, change requests, and incident management activities for key ESSSuper platforms, including the Public Website, Case360, Member Online (MOL), and Employer Online (EOL).

About You Ideally will have a combination of the following:

10+ years of experience in technology delivery roles, including 5+ years in senior program or delivery management positions.

Demonstrated success in managing

multiple concurrent BAU and project delivery streams

across large-scale, complex environments.

Proven experience in collaborating with

Cyber Security, Risk, and Business Unit stakeholders

to ensure secure, compliant, and business-aligned delivery.

Strong experience in

transitioning projects into BAU , with accountability for stabilisation, support, and continued improvement.

Proven ability to manage

multi-vendor delivery ecosystems , including contract performance and cross-vendor dependencies.

Exceptional communication skills, with experience drafting and owning business-facing and technical communications for production releases.

Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills at all levels, including senior leadership.

Deep working knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and DevOps frameworks.

Strategic thinker with hands‑on delivery rigour and a mindset of continuous improvement.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience.

ITIL, ITSM and SAFe.
