Mobile Engineer

About the Opportunity RACV is looking for an experienced Mobile Engineer – Android to help design, build and maintain our flagship RACV Mobile App, used by thousands of members every day.

In this role, you’ll work closely with onshore and offshore development teams, designers and product partners to deliver high‑quality, secure and scalable Android solutions using modern mobile technologies.

Come along for a new journey You’ll be instrumental in leading and collaborating with the Digital team and broader business.

Here’s a glimpse of what you’ll be doing:

Develop and maintain native Android applications using

Kotlin

and

Jetpack Compose

Build features across the full mobile development lifecycle, from design through to release and support

Integrate with backend services, including

RESTful APIs

and microservices

Contribute to

Azure DevOps

CI/CD pipelines and uphold strong code quality through reviews and best practices

Troubleshoot, debug and support complex integration and performance issues

Mentor junior developers and collaborate across cross‑functional teams

Who we’re looking for and what you’ll bring Thrive in an environment where people are at the heart of everything. You’ll come with:

7+ years’

experience developing native Android applications

Strong expertise with

Android Studio ,

Firebase , and modern mobile architecture patterns

Solid understanding of application security, performance and scalability

Experience working in agile environments and across the end‑to‑end SDLC

Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, problem‑solving mindset

Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience
