Our Gastroenterology and Hepatology Department is seeking to engage a highly reliable Administration Officer to join their team as a Secretary in a permanent part-time capacity. In this position, you will play an important role in supporting the daily operations of the department by providing both secretarial and administrative assistance. Your responsibilities will include managing correspondence, coordinating schedules, maintaining accurate records, and facilitating effective communication between patients and staff. By ensuring the smooth running of administrative processes, you will contribute directly to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

What You Will Bring To The Role

Demonstrated experience in working in a complex healthcare environment providing secretarial service and support to a large team, at a senior level

Demonstrated high level interpersonal and written communication skills, with proven ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders and be able to maintain confidentiality and discretion

Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office, Window based software including patient databases, preferably iPM as well as HealthRoster. Experience with inhouse databases such as iPM, and Vmoney

Demonstrated strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment and to use initiative to problem solve whilst working effectively in all situations

Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team

Demonstrated ability to learn new processes and provide flexibility in the workplace

Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified and must not exceed the duration or conditions associated with the current visa.
