About the role
We're looking for a GP or suitably qualified medical practitioner to provide on-site clinical support during imaging procedures at our radiology clinic, including during the administration of contrast media.
This is a safety-focused role requiring capability in recognizing and managing contrast reactions as well as responding to general medical emergencies that may arise in the clinical environment.
What you'll do
Recognize and respond to contrast media reactions
Manage general medical emergencies (cardiac events, falls, acute illness)
Administer emergency medications (adrenaline, antihistamines, IV fluids)
Perform resuscitation and life support, including airway management
Manage allergic and anaphylactic reactions
Liaise with radiologists and imaging staff as needed
What we're looking for
Current AHPRA registration as a medical practitioner
Competence in emergency and acute care management
Confident administering emergency medications and performing resuscitation (including airway management and lifesupport)
Calm under pressure and able to respond quickly when required
Availability Wednesday–Friday afternoons (2:30pm–5:30pm)
Flexibility to pick up additional casual shifts when required
This role suits GPs looking for structured part-time hours with scope for additional work, or those interested in a niche clinical support position outside traditional general practice.
