Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Compliance & Quality Officer to join us in a casual capacity (8–12 hours per week).
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys structure, continuous improvement, and quality systems, and is confident working autonomously in a small but growing team.
You will be responsible for overseeing all compliance and quality functions including:
Internal audits aligned with NDIS Practice Standards
Maintaining staff compliance & training records (WWCC, NDIS worker screening, competencies, refresher training)
Quality Management System maintenance
Updating policies and procedures
Managing incident and reportable incident processes
Overseeing the complaints management system
Maintaining risk registers (participant & organisational)
Maintaining the Continuous Improvement Register
Ensuring audit evidence is current and accurate
Preparing monthly quality & risk reports for the Director
This is a key role that directly supports the organisation’s compliance, governance and service safety.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct scheduled internal audits and prepare audit evidence
Analyse incidents, complaints and risks; elevate where required
Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date documentation and registers
Review and update quality policies and procedures
Monitor staff training, competencies and screening compliance
Implement and track quality improvement initiatives
Assist in preparation for mid‑term and recertification NDIS audits
About You
You are detail‑oriented, organised, and confident working independently.
You enjoy quality systems and understand the importance of compliance in the NDIS sector.
Experience in NDIS compliance, quality, governance or auditing.
Strong knowledge of NDIS Practice Standards & Quality Indicators.
Experience with incident, complaints and risk systems.
Ability to conduct internal audits and prepare evidence.
Strong policy and documentation skills.
Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
Ability to work autonomously and manage priorities.
Experience with high‑intensity supports or clinical environments.
Experience preparing organisations for NDIS audits.
Qualifications in community services, disability, health, or quality management.
$55–$65 per hour + super (depending on experience)
