Overview
Solution Architect – Packet Core and 5G Core
Responsibilities
Lead solutioning, deployment, integration, migration, and validation of Packet Core (PACO) and 5G Core (5GC) networks.
Perform requirements analysis, configuration, integration, and software upgrades of Packet Core and 5GC nodes.
Provide technical support, troubleshooting, KPI maintenance and improvement.
Packet core network design – high level design (HLD) and Packet Core IP planning.
DNS (Gi, Gn, Gp) : configuration and traffic migration.
Engage in implementation across Gn, S3, S4, S12, S11, S5, S8, Gx, Gy, S1-U, S10 and S6a interfaces.
Work with Linux and related virtualization technologies; strong knowledge of Linux, IP networking, transport, Internet and application layer protocols (IPv4, IPv6, IPsec, TCP, UDP, QUIC, HTTP /s, DNS, RTSP, SSH).
Lead acceptance testing and coordinate with customer stakeholders for solution acceptance.
Mentor members of internal teams and customers; maintain a positive, customer-oriented attitude; demonstrate urgency when needed.
Qualifications & Experience
13+ years of experience in Telecom Core Networks (required).
Strong knowledge of Packet Core and 5G Core with 3 to 4 years of Solution Architect experience.
Hands-on experience on:
Packet Core Network:
MME, EPG, PCRF, WMG, DRA integrations.
5GC Network:
PCC, PCG, CCRC / NRF, PCF integrations.
Domain knowledge : 4G, 5G, IoT / M2M, WiFi, networking.
Experience in design, deployment, integration, migration and validation of PACO and 5GC.
Experience in requirements analysis, configuration, integration, and software upgrades of Packet Core and 5GC nodes.
Experience in technical support, troubleshooting, KPI maintenance & improvement.
DNS (Gi, Gn, Gp) configuration and traffic migration experience.
Experience with Linux and related virtualization technologies.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse teams of technical architects, analysts, and testing teams.
Strong sense of urgency and ability to handle tense situations.
Mentoring capabilities for internal teams and customers.
