We are seeking a seasoned HR Leader with demonstrated experience managing a geographically dispersed workforce with people management experience.
The
People Engagement Manager
plays a vital role in shaping a positive, safe and genuinely energising workplace at Converge International. This role is the heartbeat of our People & Culture function, championing strong governance, helping evolve our HR practice and processes to the best possible level.

The People Engagement Manager will design and deliver day to day people initiatives that make a real difference, boosting engagement, wellbeing, inclusion, motivation, and retention. With a blend of heart, structure, and strategic thinking, you’ll ensure our people feel supported, valued, and set up for success.
By embedding thoughtful, consistent people processes, building strong working relationships, and creating an environment where people love to do their best work, this role is instrumental in helping Converge International achieve its strategic and operational goals.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Lead the HR function at Converge, including HR Operations and Organisational Development.
Strong working knowledge and experience in end-to-end contemporary HR practices, national employment law, and organisational development.
Own the resolution of complex or sensitive ER cases, ensuring compliance with employment law and best practices.
Drive initiatives to promote employee engagement including rolling out engagement surveys, facilitating focus groups, data analysis and action planning.
Prepare regular HR reporting to drive data-driven decision making.
Sound understanding of OH&S legislation and safety management.
Understanding of contemporary R&R and L&D practices.
Experienced in leading through change and growth.
About you:
Has minimum 10 years of experience in generalist HR practices including policy interpretation, HR administration, recruitment, and selection with at least 3-5 years in a senior HR leadership role.
Exceptional working knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
You will have a solid appreciation of and be able to add value to commercial efficiencies that support meeting strategic and operational targets.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and inform decisions.
Skilled at handling sensitive matters with empathy, discretion, and professionalism.
Creative thinker with a passion for workplace culture and employee wellbeing.
Confident communicator and influencer with a calm, solutions-focused approach.
