Position Overview
As COO at Mayfield Industries, you will be a key member of the executive leadership team with direct influence over the CEO, Board of Directors and divisional leaders. This role carries an enterprise‑level mandate to align operations across manufacturing, engineering, field services and project delivery functions, while driving strategic execution that supports Mayfield’s ambitious growth agenda.
In Your First 12 Months You Will Focus On:
Driving operational excellence through process optimisation and system improvements.
Establishing performance frameworks that deliver measurable results across all divisions.
Leading cross‑business alignment efforts to ensure integration of teams and processes post‑acquisition.
Building a culture of accountability, innovation, safety, diversity & inclusion (DEI), equity, and continuous improvement.
Supporting strategic growth initiatives by strengthening customer relationships and enhancing stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with the CEO and Board to define enterprise‑wide strategies that drive sustainable growth while advancing Mayfield’s operating‑model maturity.
Oversee manufacturing processes, engineering teams, logistics functions, project delivery frameworks and field services to ensure seamless operations aligned with strategic goals.
Foster cultural transformation by embedding values of accountability, innovation, safety, DEI principles, equity and collaboration into every aspect of operations.
Manage financial oversight including budgeting processes, capital expenditure planning, cost control measures, commercial negotiations and risk mitigation strategies to maximise value creation.
Represent Mayfield Industries externally by building strong relationships with clients, suppliers, regulators, industry bodies and strengthening our presence in key forums.
About You
Proven experience in senior operations or general management roles within industrial engineering, manufacturing, construction infrastructure delivery or utilities sectors.
Strong commercial acumen with expertise in budgeting processes, contract management negotiations, strategic planning execution and risk mitigation strategies.
Exceptional leadership skills to inspire teams and engage stakeholders at all levels effectively.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business‑related fields (MBA or postgraduate qualifications highly regarded).
Minimum
Years of progressive leadership experience in relevant industries.
